Another week of spraying beans and planting beans here. We spent the bigger part of the week replanting beans and doing some dirt work repairing damage from the 4-plus inches of rain we had a few weeks ago. Rains since that event have been spotty, but we did luck out and get a good widespread rain this evening, Sunday the 13th. There are a few guys in the area with some acres left to plant but overall, most are wrapped up. The early planted corn (mid-May) is starting to tassel now, so I’m glad we have some moisture now to carry that corn through pollination. I don’t think I have ever seen a year where we have corn pollinating and corn that’s only 10 inches tall before. Hopefully we will never see it again either.
