RUSO, N.D. – On a mild 26-degree December morning with just a slight breeze and a bit of snow on the ground, the Boyko cows were out grazing cornstalk aftermath fields and brown midrib sorghum-sudangrass regrowth fields.

Jacob Boyko was able to go snowmobiling last weekend in Cooke City, Mont., with some longtime friends of his, Dylan and Dakotah.
“They are both diversified farmers/ranchers like me, so we definitely keep busy talking about farming and ranching when we get together,” he concluded.
