ARLINGTON, Wis. – A recent 4-H Drone Day at the University of Wisconsin-Arlington Agricultural Research Station introduced youth and families to the growing role of drones, robotics and emerging technologies in agriculture. Through hands-on demonstrations and interactive activities, participants explored how the tools are used to address real-world challenges in farming, natural resources and environmental sustainability. The event connected 4-H youth with UW–Madison faculty, researchers and students, highlighting the connections between science, technology, engineering and mathematics education – STEM – with agricultural innovation and future career opportunities. The program aimed to spark curiosity, build awareness of agricultural technology, and help young people see how science and engineering can make a difference in their communities.
