Autumn, like no other season, is about harvesting, gathering, acquiring and storing the fruits of spring and summer. The activities of those ventures are sometimes regulated seasons, requiring licenses, permits and authorizations. Also needed might be permissions from property owners to walk on their land, wade in their streams, and even climb in their trees or cross over their fences. With many of those recreations, autumn provides an opportunity to share the joy of the harvest, excitement of the hunt, food of gathering and stories of the adventures.
