When I think back to my childhood days of growing up on the farm, my most vivid memory is of my devoted and hardworking mother. She embodied the traditional farm wife – cooking meals from scratch, canning garden produce, butchering chickens, keeping a clean home, and even stepping in to milk cows when needed. Somehow, she managed it all while raising five children.
