In 2008, Tri-State Neighbor reporter Lura Roti interviewed Sioux Valley High School senior Kyle Heylens to learn about his small cow-calf herd and goals for the future. The story focused on his use of a Farm Service Agency Youth Loan and featured Gail Gullickson, senior farm loan officer. Fifteen years later, Tri-State Neighbor reconnected with 32-year-old Heylens and Gullickson. This is an update.
