As late fall is here, most of our gardens have been put to bed for the year. Small seeds that were planted last spring produced foods that give us life. Many hours have been spent by some of us canning, freezing, drying, pickling or storing the summer and fall harvests for later use. It is interesting to stop for a moment in awe at what is contained in the small seeds planted in the right environment can produce. Throughout the years, many people have spent years improving the varieties of various seeds we plant in our gardens and fields.
