Youth exhibitors put months of hard work into their market animal projects, and sometimes saying good bye can be tough. Michelle and Ron Austin have made it a point to speak continually and openly with their sons Cade and Chance about the process and purpose of raising livestock for meat. The family is pictured here with Cade’s home-raised steer, Bugs, after winning the Rock County Fair last year.

She showed and sold two market lambs last year, Buster and Blake, at the Outagamie County Fair and the Northeast Wisconsin Livestock Show.
