Born and raised on a farm south of Wausa with an array of pets and livestock, Melissa Doerr had always wanted her children to have the same opportunity. She and her husband Scott live on the same acreage where she grew up, so Melissa was eager to fill her childhood barnyard with chickens, ducks, a turkey, rabbits, dogs and even two donkeys for her three sons.
