Dropping temperatures and strong winds are expected across the Midwest as another winter storm blankets the region later this week, causing blowing snow that will slow movement of livestock and meat, wrote Chris Lehner with ADM Investor Services. The weather conditions also will cause a backup of livestock. Consumers have slowed buying the high priced Choice cuts in favor of cheaper Choice primals, Select beef and ground beef, Lehner noted.
