“Cash cattle were higher last week despite the futures selloff, and trade on Friday in the north was 240-247 and in the south at 235-236, $3 to $5 higher than the prior week,” the Hightower Report said. “The 5-area, 5-day weighted average for the week ended at 242.18, up from 238.58 the previous week. The higher cash is likely to point to a higher opening this morning.”
