The Hightower Report said, “The cattle complex took a punch to the gut today as feeders neared limit down midsession before a slight recovery but ending sharply lower. The rumor mill was working overtime and there was an unsubstantiated report that screwworm had been found in Texas, following several additional screwworm cases in northern Mexico earlier this week, but there has been no confirmation from official sources. There has been some cash trade in Texas, Kansas and Nebraska at 233 and that may be slightly disappointing at only $1 higher than last week.”
