The Hightower Report said, “Wheat markets are slightly higher with Kansas City prices leading to the upside this morning on upcoming dryness for the next week with hot temperatures expected to reach the low 90’s this weekend across the southwestern Plains. HRW wheat conditions are expected to decline this week and flooding in SRW areas may also be stressing that crop.” Amanda Brill at Total Farm Marketing said “The Crop Progress showed spring wheat as 3% planted which is on part with a year ago. Winter wheat was rated 48% good to excellent, which was in line with trade estimates but was down from 55% in last November. 5% on the crop is headed.”
