Preston and her family run a corn and soybean farm in conjunction with a cow-calf operation in northern Kossuth County, near Swea City. The farm is in its fourth generation as she and her husband, Jared, have three children, Nora, Maggie and Croix, and farm with her father- and mother-in-law and brother- and sister-in-law. They also have worked rye on some of their corn silage fields to use as a cover crop and as an additional food source for their cattle.Â
