What a year it has been — probably the most trying year we have ever seen. For sure it was the biggest struggle to get a crop planted we have ever witnessed. Nonstop rains from April through July, then the faucet completely shut off on Aug. 4. Yields have reflected our struggles planting with soybeans being well below our averages. Corn has held on and has been closer to normal in most fields. Like usual, ground type reflects that greatly. We still have some corn acres left that we should get close to done with harvest this week if Mother Nature complies. We have gotten some fall tillage done, but we have a long way to go in that department and still have all of our fall spraying to get done if the weather manages to hold. We will push on and look forward to a reset and hopefully a better year next year.
