Students in Wisconsin’s K-12 schools are no longer allowed to use their cellphones during class time under a bipartisan bill signed Oct. 31 by Wis. Gov. Tony Evers. The law will require school boards across the state to develop policies banning the use of cellphones during class time, if they haven’t done so already. The law allows exemptions for emergency situations, a student’s ability to manage their health or for educational purposes authorized by teachers.
