MADISON, Wis. – Agricultural careers were the area of focus March 21 for the Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council during its virtual session. Randy Romanski, Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection secretary, welcomed members to the session. Emi McCarville, a council member from Mineral Point, Wisconsin, served as chair of the session.

Josie Bailey of Tomah, Wisconsin, is currently a senior at Tomah Senior High School. She works on her family’s dairy farm, Bailey’s Cherry Valley near Tomah. She’s active in the Tomah FFA chapter, the Wisconsin Guernsey Association, the National Honor Society and Vernon County Dairy Youth, as well as high school sports such as cross country, gymnastics and track. She plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-River Falls to major in agricultural education.
