Churchgoers at Preston Christian Church are used to sitting in chairs that overflow into the fellowship hall, but they will have new accommodations this spring.
Plans for the new sanctuary space at Preston Christian include a large stage for the worship band, high ceilings and seating for 280.
The original church from 1914 was replaced in 1980 to add more space and solve issues with water in the building.

The current sanctuary has a small stage for musicians, and chairs overflow into the dining area.
