Well, we had a lot of rain Sunday — about 3 inches. Most all the crops are planted — some of it twice, right before the 3 inch rain. Calling for more this week. Might be some wheat harvested later in the week if weather permits.

We had a wet weekend with about 2.5 inches from Friday till Monday morning. Most of the crop is planted in the area. Some replant and maybe more after this weekend’s rain. I got most all corn sprayed last week. Some of the early beans are ready to be sprayed. Wheat will be ready before we are.
Nothing going on this week. We had about 3 inches of rain Monday. It’s still wet and still got some beans to plant — hopefully no replant. Next week doesn’t look any better.
It was a good week of planting. Got done with corn, got some corn sprayed, had a good run on beans. We should finish them this coming week. We got 20-some acres of rye hay baled. No rain on Saturday like they said. We could use some — not a lot. First corn and beans really took off this week.
It’s been a slow week. A little planting done on Sunday and Monday then rain Monday night (May 4) and all day Tuesday. We did a little spraying on Friday before rain again. Crops are slow to come up. Sounds like a good week coming up. Hope all the moms had a good Mother’s Day.
We got about 2 inches of rain last Monday. We got started planting again on Saturday (May 2). We’re about 85% done with corn and 40% done with beans. Things are slow coming up. Need warmer weather.
We had a pretty good week of planting. The first corn and beans are up. We didn’t get any rain midweek like they said we would. It’s raining here now, Sunday night (April 26). The wheat is starting to head — looks like it’s early.
It’s good to be back. This past week there’s been guys planting around, both beans and corn. We started Monday (April 13) planting really good. No rain till Friday night (April 17); got about 1 inch. Fuel and fertilizer prices are the biggest problem. Cattle price is great. Hope everyone has…

The spring started out good here. Corn and beans went in good, came up and started growing. Then later June came and got wet. Corn was looking sick. Then July got warm — had plenty of rain in July. Then August came and no rain here till late September. So, the corn here was good, but it coul…
This was a good week of harvest — got a lot of corn done, still got a lot left to finish. Had about eight-tenths of rain on Tuesday night. Been hauling corn to make room — about to get full here. Sounds like a good week of harvest this week.
We had a good week of harvest. First-crop beans are done. Still got wheat beans — some still need a frost. Wheat is up and growing and looks good. We got a little rain Sunday morning. There is a lot of corn around to harvest, still one at a time.
Got a lot done last week. We got about one-half inch of rain Saturday (Oct. 18), which was nice. First wheat that was planted is up, and beans are finished. Still got a lot of corn and some wheat beans to harvest.
It’s been a busy week of harvest. We finally got some rain Friday morning, eight-tenths. There’s been some wheat going in and some already up and going. We got started today, and we should finish first-crop beans this week.
It’s been a busy harvest in my area. Corn yields are really good and beans not so good. Beans are really dirty — having to cut in different ways because of how the wind works with you. There's been some combine fires — really need some rain. Everybody be safe.
Harvest is in full swing around here. Corn is good. It’s starting to dry down. Beans are OK to not-so-good and are going to be really dry by midweek and really dirty. We sure could use some rain.
Finally had some rain. Some had 3 inches, some had three-tenths. Guys are in corn. It’s dry to low 20s (moisture). Yield is good. Beans are dry, and yield is OK on early-planted beans. I’ll hopefully get started by Monday or Tuesday. Got a bin project I’m working on — should be done by Monda…
Still no rain. It’s dry. I drove from southeast Missouri yesterday to home, dry all the way. I heard some early corn was dry coming out of the field. Hoping to try some end of the week.
Still no rain here — it’s been a month here for no rain. Still got some pivots running. Some guys have started on corn last week late. We’re still a week out. The only good thing was MU beat KU on Saturday.
Well, another week with no rain. Still a lot of irrigation running on beans. Corn starting to dry down. We did see some southern rust in corn this week. I went to the Farm Progress Show this week. It was dry all the way there. A lot of people talking about it and what it’s doing for beans’ yield.
It cooled off. No rain — we sure could use some. Some guys have started chopping corn (for silage) in the area. We’ve been irrigating beans. They look good but need some water. It’s college football week.
It's been another hot week — no rain here. Guys have started irrigation up on beans and some on corn. Corn looks good. Beans do, too. Now they need some water, and it doesn’t sound like any in future.
As of this morning no rain here for the week. We could use some to finish the corn, and the beans could use a little. It was State Fair week, and it rained there.
