It was a hot, dry week. A lot the crops are starting to show signs of stress, especially in compacted areas and areas that were wet early on this spring that may have leached a lot of the fertilizers out of the soil. The corn is progressing faster than most may think, with the milk line already two-thirds down looking at possibly being black layered by the 10th of August. Beans continue to grow and bush out while setting pods. Hoping for cooler temperatures and some rainfall in the coming week.
