Austin Schroeder at Barchart.com said, “Live cattle futures closed the midweek session with contracts down 60 to $1.80. April futures expired on Wednesday. Cash trade has yet to see much widespread movement this week, with some $214-218 light business so far.” The Hightower Report said, “Weekly export sales this morning were slightly above the average of the last month and China was on the list, although their purchases were relatively small compared to pre-tariff levels. China’s state media reports that the U.S. is reaching out through back channels to initiate trade talks.”
