A popular pandemic program that lets Madison’s restaurants and bars expand outdoor seating beyond what had been allowed by ordinance may become permanent.
Advocates hope to make Madison's pandemic-inspired Streatery initiative a fixture citywide. The program allows restaurants to expand outdoor seating onto public sidewalks, on-street parking spots and other public areas, like this area outside the Settle Down Tavern on South Pinckney Street.
