MADISON, Wis. — A one-fourth-scale tractor, embellished with the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Flying W logo, sat in a machine shop. It's painted a vibrant purple and turquoise that invokes memories of the quintessential Dixie Cup of years gone by. It’s a homage to the 1990s — a decade now apparently deemed vintage — that the audience gazing at the tractor never knew.
