Regardless of the cause, the world’s climate is changing. It’s often done so in the past but there were then many fewer humans to be affected – and the change was less severe than what is being seen in the 21st century. Those in the worst areas in the past migrated – or died – when all crops failed. In the 21st century most U.S. residents simply turn on the air conditioning. But climate changes, as has always been the case, affect farmers directly.
