Love Letters from a Farmer

A birthday ad in the Banner Journal is placed by Tom Pfaff’s daughter, Sarah Pfaff-Cavadini. There were so many things he liked that she says she struggled to choose just a few. She says, ‘I could have included going to horse pulls, fishing in Canada, going out to eat, turkey hunting, watching the Brewers and the Packers, Hamm’s Beer, eating watermelon, picnics by the river, family baseball games by his beef barn, fishing each spring for Red Horse and Mullets, going to the Jackson County Fair, making Knockwurst – a smoked German sausage, combining, his John Deere 4020 tractor, driving his Bobcat skid steer, raising chickens, his Angus, Jersey and Holstein cattle, visiting with friends, going to University of Wisconsin reunions, meeting new people, Mom’s pies, oyster stew for Christmas Eve, going to church each Sunday and spending time with his family – especially his wife, Ann Pfaff.'
