The South Dakota State University Dairy Science program continues to expand opportunities for students even after the 2024 closure of the university’s dairy unit, thanks to industry partnerships and hands-on learning experiences.
Even after the closure of SDSU’s Dairy Research and Training Facility, students are still gaining hands-on experience. As South Dakota’s dairy industry grows, opportunities continue through local partnerships, campus involvement and events like Little International.
