Through summer every time I wrote about not getting much rain, the day or day after I turn in my article we get precipitation. True to form, we received 1 inch of rain Oct. 2, the day after my last article was turned in. It was a beautiful, soaking fall rain. Areas to the south of us received another round last Thursday, Oct. 12. I have heard a few rain totals of over 3 inches, but we didn’t receive any from that system.
