At 6 p.m. on March 22, four young men from Winner, South Dakota, will host the second annual 3R Cattle Co. & Milliron Angus Bull Sale at the Winner Livestock Auction.
Four Winner, S.D., youth work together to put on a bull sale: Roper Moore, Rider Moore, Rowdy Moore and Garret Phillips.
Garret Phillips, 19, has been best friends with the Moore brothers since he was 12 and began working with them at their family’s auction market. Phillips and the Moore brothers all own their own cattle and worked together to put on a bull sale in 2024. They are working to put on the second annual 3R Cattle Co. & Milliron Angus Bull Sale March 22.
On bull sale day, the Moore brothers and their best friend Garret Phillips do all the work. Rowdy was the auctioneer. Roper reported on the bulls’ genetics. Phillips was the ringman. And Rider pushed the bulls into the ring. Pictured is Roper Moore, left, Rowdy Moore and their mother Heather Moore.

The boys put on the inaugural bull sale last year, doing everything on their own, including designing the sale catalog. They are preparing for their second sale this spring.
