Just outside the Farmfest gates, the sounds of antique steam engines and old time music fill the air at the historic Gilfillan Farmstead.
Wayne Rue of Lamberton, Minn., stands by his rare 1936 John Deere BW at Farmfest 2023. It was one of 247 made. He bought it at a farm sale and spent three years restoring it with all new gears and a new transmission. “A lot of collectors have never seen a BW in person,” he said.
