SEDALIA, Mo. — As August returns, so does the annual tradition of hundreds of thousands of Missourians making their way to Sedalia for the Missouri State Fair, scheduled for Aug. 9-19. This year is the 116th Missouri State Fair, and Kari Mergen, marketing director for the fair, says the focus has remained on promoting agriculture.

The 2018 Missouri State Fair is scheduled for Aug. 9-19 in Sedalia. Fair organizers say the fair appeals to people for a wide variety of reasons, and the fair remains focused on being an agricultural showcase.
