Energy prices push inflation
Energy prices are continuing to drive inflation up – 4.2 percent – the highest rate since 2023, according to Bryon Parman, NDSU Extension agricultural finance specialist. “Inflation was up pretty significantly in May, up at an annualized rate of 4.2 percent, which is the highest it’s been since 2023,” Parman said during the June NDSU Agricultural Market Situation and Outlook Webinar.
