A very pleasant weather week with no rain and comfortable temperatures and humidity. Many farmers took advantage of the window to finish up hay before conditions tighten. Corn is starting to die down, with anthracnose leaf blight showing up across a lot of acres, and the spots that ran out of nitrogen are turning quickly. Soybeans continue to hold their color overall, but I’ve noticed a few fields showing sudden death syndrome and some pockets of white mold.
