From one extreme to another this year. A cooler-than-usual spring with ample rain has turned abnormally hot. Last week temperatures climbed into the mid-90s for most of the week. Crops look pretty decent in our neck of the woods, but you don’t have to drive too far to find the opposite. Guys continued to wrap up cutting wheat and planting double crops. I post sprayed the last of our beans that were ready. Fungicide passes will start about a week from now. We really lucked out and caught our first measurable rain in a couple weeks Saturday night. Not enough to last, but I’m grateful for it. A decent chance of more showers mid-week, so hopefully that comes through for us.
