I’ve learned many valuable lessons in my agriculture classes and through my FFA involvement over the past five years. My ag teacher and FFA advisor has helped me learn about deadlines and time management; leadership at both the local and district levels; best farm management practices and accuracy in record keeping for my SAE project; and of course, I’ve learned through Leadership Development Events, like this Public Speaking Contest. Practical learning experiences are not to be overlooked. On one particular occasion, my ag teacher helped me save a valuable part of my wardrobe, when she cautioned: “You can’t wear that for welding! Go throw a sweatshirt on!”
