Harvest is taking longer than usual in Central South Dakota as farmers take the extra step of running corn through dryers in order to remove enough moisture to store the grain without spoiling.
Harvest crews work past sunset Saturday, Nov. 1, to bring in corn.

Teddy Holzwarth is a third generation farmer who operates TEH Farms from Gettysburg, South Dakota. He grows no-till corn, soybeans and wheat in Potter, Sully and Dewey counties. He and his wife Emily have three children.
