The wind rushing through the needles and limbs of the spruce and jack pine mixes with the rustling of aspen and alder leaves. Loons add their song to the symphony of nature played over shimmering lakes under a dazzling sun. The hot temperature of the air and water beguile visitors into thinking summer is forever. But August green fades as September’s bright colors and somber browns and yellows grow overnight. One day soon a cold wind will blow in to stay.
