Bruce Braley lives in Waterloo with his wife, Carolyn, and their
children, Lisa, David and Paul. He grew up in Brooklyn, Iowa, a
small town in Poweshiek County. Bruce's parents were both raised on
Iowa farms during the Depression. His mother started teaching more
than fifty years ago, and continues to teach as a substitute to
this day. He has two brothers and one sister. Carolyn is from
Dubuque, and grew up with four sisters and three brothers. Her
parents and many in her family continue to live in Dubuque. Bruce
also has family living in Davenport and Bettendorf.
