Crops are looking really good overall here in Easton. We had some decent rain earlier in the week that helped with soil moisture, especially after the dry spell we had before. We’ve had a total 9 inches of rainfall so far. Corn is progressing well — fields are around growth stage V7, with good color and even stands. Soybeans are off to a solid start too. Most fields are in V2 to V3 stage and looking healthy. Weed pressure is manageable, and post-emerge applications have gone on in good timing. We could use a few days of sunshine and warm weather followed by a little more rain to keep things moving in the right direction.
