Things started to dry out a bit this week — a little wet early but finished up the week with some much-needed sunshine. Field work was still slow for most people. There were some planters and sprayers running in the northern part of the territory, but further south things stayed soggy. A lot of the early corn is in V4-V5 growth stage and has good stands but is still a pale green color from the wet weather. The beans seem to be very slow about coming up due to wet weather and some cooler temperatures, but we’re still being optimistic that they will look better every day.
