When Kara Philips Wondercheck married her husband Nolan, she knew that also meant saying “‘til death do us part” to his family’s four-generation farming operation near Newman Grove, Nebraska.
Wondercheck Family Farms is truly a family business. Teressa and Zane Wondercheck, right, were joined by their son Nolan, left, and his wife Kara to continue the farming tradition. Their infant son Waylon is the fifth generation on the farm by Newman Grove, Neb.
The Wonderchecks raise row crops, farrow-to-finish hogs and cattle, as can be seen behind the pigs in this photo.
Piglets are farrowed and weaned inside buildings before transferring to dirt lots outside for finishing.
