In the next five to 10 and even 20 years, the kids sitting in school desks today will be the men and women powering our industrial battalion. None of us can predict what new technologies will exist by the time they enter the workforce, but the FFA program is staying true to its mission of developing student potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success by preparing them for whatever the future holds.
Students combine technology with agriculture to collect data about plant growth with FarmBeats at Lennox, S.D.
Milbank students experiment with the coding software included with the FarmBeats program. Each participating school received 15 student kits containing sensors, a micro:bit computer and additional resources.
Hands-on activities in the FarmBeats curriculum engage these students at Scottsbluff High School in Nebraska and provide opportunities to develop critical thinking skills.
