This summer, the Humphrey FFA Chapter members in Platte County, Nebraska, had several opportunities to attend career workshops and an Agriculture Industry Tour Day. This allowed them to explore more careers and help them figure out what they might want to do. On Ag Tour Day, 23 members visited the Central Valley Ag Co-op (CVA) and the Horn T Zoo in Monroe, Nebraska, and the Case IH Plant in Grand Island, Nebraska.
Dr. Sarah Keiser Czarnick, DVM, explains types of sutures at the veterinary science career workshop. Students practiced real-world skills learning suturing and how to remove sutures using bananas to practice.

Humphrey FFA students display their floral arrangements after the Floral 201 workshop. During this workshop, members expanded their knowledge of the floriculture industry and floral identification, as well as learned how to make a large, all sided floral arrangement.
