Another very hot, humid week here in northeastern Illinois. We had a couple of days with a heat index over 100. Crops are looking good. Corn is fully tasseled; some has started pollination. Soybeans have fully canopied in 30-inch rows. Today some areas near Chicago received 6-7 inches of rain in 2 hours with some local flooding. Be careful around flooded areas.
