The first week of August brought us hot, humid weather, the crops are loving this weather. Some third-cutting hay has been cut and baled — more on the ground today. In northern Illinois we have had a couple of days with Air Quality Alerts. School starts soon, that means harvest and fall field work are close behind. I have seen a couple of local schools testing buses. Be safe on the roads.
