Harvest is right around the corner. Thirty-four days of no precipitation has taken its toll. Weathermen say the majority of the state plus Indiana and Ohio don’t have a chance of rain in sight. Last year we had almost the exact same weather — last rain was Aug. 3 and didn’t break until the end of September with a hurricane front. The major difference between this year and last is the planting dates. Last year everything was at the tail end of growth stages — a very different situation this year unfortunately.
