PORTERFIELD, Wis. – A milk-quality audit of the Kaufman-family dairy farm a few years ago has proven advantageous for the family. Harold and Patricia Kaufman and their son, Ben Kaufman, worked with a service provider to make suggested changes, improving cow comfort and productivity. That has contributed to the Porterfield-area family recently earning gold recognition for dairy quality by the National Mastitis Council.
