On a Tuesday at 5:30 in the morning, early June 1962, I pulled up behind the Stockyards Café, parked my clunker and walked across Rice Street to begin my new job with the Sioux Falls Stockyards Company and two months later, Farmers Union Livestock.
"The fact that they’re staying here in this state, we just cannot thank you enough for continuing this partnership here in South Dakota,” Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken said.
