The past two weeks have had a little less rainfall for us, so that was nice. I think we totaled only around 2 inches in those two weeks with most of it coming Wednesday, Aug 1. We are around 10 inches above average rainfall for the year still, so we haven't widened that margin, I guess.

Matt Tiffany farms with his dad, Bruce, in Redwood County, Minnesota, using a combined approach to address erosion, water infiltration and soil fertility. He grows a full season rye cover crop, along with corn and soybeans. The rye and soybean are sold for seed. Tiffany and his dad are alumni of the Minnesota Agriculture & Rural Leadership Program.
