For one South Dakota, soybean producer, seeing firsthand how soybeans can feed a hungry world gave her a new appreciation for the crop.
Faulkton, S.D., soybean producer April Bower sees Central American egg production up close during a recent See For Yourself tour.
April Bower toured Grupo Cresta in Guatemala, an egg production facility that imports soybean meal from the United States. They produce about 1.1 million eggs per day.

April Bower said she appreciated seeing how soybeans are used for animal feed in Central America, leading to nutritious, protein packed meals which she had a chance to sample during her trip.
