One of two redesigned rapid transit stations unveiled Monday by the city of Madison would sit in front of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, featuring a shorter platform, smaller shelter and more glass to provide better views of storefronts.
Madison's Central Business Improvement District is asking Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway and city officials to not run bus rapid transit on State Street or place large BRT stations there, saying it would make it more difficult to ensure the area remains an active, vibrant place for all.
